Good to know: Apostille requirements
Brazil and Portugal are members of the Hague Apostille Convention. Many German authorities require an apostille on civil status documents (birth, marriage certificates) and educational certificates before they accept them. If an apostille is required, obtain it first so we can include it in your translation. Check with your specific authority, as requirements vary: some Standesämter insist on apostilles, others do not.

Some authorities accept a PDF scan of the certified translation, but many still require the postal original.
