Visa or Appointment Deadline? How Long a Certified Translation Takes
Your embassy or authority appointment is approaching and you still need a beglaubigte Übersetzung. We do not offer an express service as standard. If your matter is urgent, please mention it in your request: we will gladly check whether we can find a faster solution.
Realistic delivery times
Delivery usually takes 3 to 6 working days; it may vary depending on the language and scope. Your personal delivery time is stated in your quote. Working days are Monday to Friday.
How it works
- Send your document. Upload a clear photo or scan through our request form. A good photo from your phone is usually enough.
- Receive your quote. You usually receive your quote within a few hours, often sooner, with your fixed price and delivery time.
- Confirm the order. A sworn translator starts once you accept the quote.
- Receive your translation. If you wish, you receive a PDF by email first. The stamped and signed original follows by post.
- Pay after delivery. You pay by bank transfer after you have received your translation. No prepayment is required.
How you can save time
- Send all pages at once, including the back if it has stamps.
- Write the exact spelling of names as in your passport.
- Tell us the date of your appointment and which authority the translation is for.
- Ask the authority whether a PDF is enough or whether they need the paper original.
Why the translation has to be certified
In Germany, translations for authorities must be done by a sworn translator (vereidigter Übersetzer). Depending on the federal state, translators are sworn, appointed or authorised by a court. If an authority rejects the translation, we correct it free of charge.
