About the authenticity of our customer reviews
The customer reviews on our pages come from the review platform ProvenExpert. Here is a short explanation of how ProvenExpert checks whether a review comes from a real customer, and how we show reviews on our site.
Where the reviews come from
We collect customer reviews only through ProvenExpert. The overall rating and the number of reviews on our pages come from there. You can read all of them on our ProvenExpert profile.
How ProvenExpert checks reviews
According to ProvenExpert, these steps make sure that only people who actually used the service can leave a review:
- Personal email address: A review needs the reviewer's own email address.
- Verification: Reviewers have to verify their review, for example by email or through a ProvenExpert account.
- Once per person: Each person may fill out a review form only once. Businesses may not review themselves.
- Manual checks: ProvenExpert also checks by hand that only customers leave reviews.
- Proof when a review is disputed: If the reviewed business disputes a review, ProvenExpert asks for proof. If the order can't be shown, the review is deleted.
What a business can do on ProvenExpert
A business can ask ProvenExpert to delete a negative review if it breaks ProvenExpert's terms of use, for example because it is insulting. It can also hide negative reviews. ProvenExpert then notes on the profile that not all reviews are shown.
ProvenExpert says it does not verify reviews it imports from other platforms such as Google or Facebook. These imported reviews still count toward the overall rating and are listed separately on the profile.
What we do ourselves
We approve new reviews on ProvenExpert, usually with a comment from us. Critical reviews appear on our profile too, and you can read them there. The overall rating can include reviews that ProvenExpert imports from other platforms.
How we show reviews on our pages
- We quote word for word. If we shorten a quote, you'll see […] in its place, and the meaning stays the same.
- The name appears the way ProvenExpert shows it, with the date and a link to the review.
- We only quote reviews from ProvenExpert and never write reviews ourselves.
